-
drink
plenty of water to help your body
eliminate the toxins that have been
dislodged during your massage. Drinking
water will also help to prevent
headaches, dehydration and fatigue.
-
try
and keep physical activity to a minimum
in the 24 hrs following your treatment.
Your body will be working hard to
eliminate toxins and should be rested as
much as possible to aid this elimination
and to encourage the body’s natural
healing process. Resting will also
prolong the relaxing effect of the
massage.
-
avoid
driving or operating machinery
immediately after your treatment – your
reaction times may be slowed and your
body and mind need a bit of time to
‘wake up’ and regain full alertness.
-
avoid
alcohol & tobacco for at least 24 hours
after your massage to allow your body to
cleanse and the toxins to be removed –
you don’t want to start putting new
toxins in while your body is still
trying to get the old ones out!
-
try
and carry out a few gentle stretches in
the days following your massage to
encourage your muscles to stay supple and
relaxed and to minimise the build up of
toxins, tension and stress.
